Mélanie has been a research assistant with AgraPoint since 2006. She supports specialists in Kentville and Truro offices with field work and applied research in different crops. She assists with the planning and implementation of research trials, establishes and maintains experimental plots, collects and analyses data, and participates in report writing. Some of Mélanie’s projects include Maritime forage and corn tests; pesticide efficacy and crop tolerance in blueberry, apple, onion, carrot, etc.; variety trial in pepper and sweet potato. Before she joined our team, Mélanie worked as a research assistant at Université Laval and at the Nova Scotia Crop Development Institute. She has a BSc. degree from Université Laval and a MSc. Degree from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College.
She is bilingual and occasionally translates documents and promotional material for the company in both official languages. |
