Jo Ann is working with management and staff at both AgraPoint and Nova Scotia Agricultural College to design a business model that will connect industry with specialists, researchers, training and educational programs at both organizations. Once complete, this product will be marketed in Atlantic Canada and throughout the world with the intent to improve gate values at local farms and agri-businesses.
Jo Ann has seventeen years experience working in Community Economic Development in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Before working at AgraPoint, Jo Ann was Executive Director of the Colchester Regional Development Agency. Her work there included managing business parks in the region, recruiting business and newcomers in and developing community-based strategies to improve the quality of life for local citizens.
