AgraPoint has one of the most comprehensive extension and development teams in Canada. Through a unique partnership with the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture, AgraPoint provides agricultural extension and development services to Nova Scotia’s farm and rural communities at no charge to the client. These services are available and accessible to all Nova Scotia farmers.

The goal of our extension services is to help Nova Scotia farmers develop the understanding and skills essential to solve farm problems and create new opportunties. Extension is offered in field crops, livestock, horticulture, integrated pest management, organics and rural development and sustainability.

Our extension services include:

• Sessions with specialists, on farm, by phone or email
• Toll-free Ag Information Line
• Fact Sheets and publications
• Blogs
• Social media

• Work with industry associations
  

Specialists spend time on farm, at industry events, and with producers to ensure they are aware of issues and to educate and build skills.
